We all know that international surf vacations (and other travel) contribute significantly to global warming. So here is an easy way to surf with us and still be green by compensating the CO2 trace left during your stay in Itacaré.
Besides neutralizing the carbon emissions of your trip, you will also have the opportunity to visit the compensation program at work and take a fantastic sightseeing tour through the region’s precious Atlantic rain forest biosphere.
The full package setup includes:
Surfing
5 days of structured surf lessons, held on the best surfing beaches in the region of Itacaré, including daily transportation to the beaches and full surfing equipment (all surf board types and shapes provided, rash guards, spring suits, leashes, wax, hats, etc.).
Each lesson is 4 hours NET surfing time (not counting preparation time or trips to the beaches). Lessons are held in small groups of same-level students, with a guaranteed minimum ratio of 1 instructor per 3 students, and video recording from Monday to Friday.
Video footage is discussed during your daily theoretical evening seminars (average one and a half hours per seminar).

Back home, receive an email with a link & password to a downloadable high-resolution picture gallery, containing all the shots taken during your stay.
Carbon offset
By purchasing this package at a fixed rate corresponding to the cost of planting and growing the amount of native plants necessary to fully compensate for the carbon gas emissions causes by your stay in Itacaré, you will be contributing to the "Mecenas da Vida" Program (get to know their work here). In addition, your fourth day in Itacaré is dedicated to visiting the farmers and NGO who maintain this program and take a professionally guided tour through the Atlantic rain forest.
To identify you as a CO2 compensating tourist, you'll get the program's t-shirt as our gift.
As an extension of this package, you might also consider compensating your flight trip to and from Itacaré through this carbon offset program. All you have to do is fill out the appropriate fields when submitting the inquiry form.
Lodging
7 nights single/double lodging in a spacious room in our lovely beach-front lodge, including a bright, modern, and clean private bathroom, private balcony (hammock & garden/sea views), air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, WIFI (in breakfast area), small refrigerator, private safe, and a luscious daily breakfast individually scheduled to combine perfectly with your EasyDrop surf class schedules.
Shuttle
Group-independent airport taxi shuttle service between Ilhéus and Itacaré on your individual flight arrival and departure dates and times (any day/night) available for your safe and timely transportation convenience (1 ½ hours net driving time each way).

Your CO2 offset will be individually calculated for you based on the distances and transportation used during your travels to and from Itacaré. Here are two examples:
New York - São Paulo by air (return trip)
= 15,400 km
= 1,694 kg of CO2 emitted per PAX
= 8.5 trees to be planted and grown to compensate the emissions

São Paulo - Ilhéus by air (return trip)
= 5,550 km
= 383 kg of CO2 emitted per PAX
