River adventures in Taboquinhas

For whoever is interested in doing rafting, it´s necessary to go on a 4X4 vehicle to Taboquinhas, a village lost in the forest, 34 km away from Itacaré. It´s only 28 km on a rough road and the trip takes around one hour. On the way, you can enjoy a lot of the Atlantic forest (the Mata Atlântica) and cacau farms. For the culture of cacau, shadow it´s necessary, that´s why Taboquinhas has one of the most preserved areas.

 

The rafting is made in inflatable small boats, in the canyon of the Rio das Contas river, the same that discharges in Itacaré. The passage takes about one hour and a half. The rafting is levels III and IV.
