Lodging at Pousada GirassolTo turn our clients' stay in Itacaré as comfortable as possible, we chose "Pousada Girassol" as the standard EasyDrop lodging option.
Pousada Girassol is on Praia da Concha, the most posh neighbourhood of Itacaré. It's a quite privileged location: beach-front with a view over the waves of Boca da Barra! From the garden door of Pousada Girassol to the water's edge is only about 30 meters! At the same time, it's not more than a 5 minutes walk to the center of town and to EasyDrop from where we leave to our daily surf classes. Praia da Concha is excellent for hanging around and swimming. Here you'll find numerous beach huts selling cold beer and fresh sea food.
The administrators, friendly folks from the central Brazilian state of "Minas Gerais", are flower enthusiasts, so even rare species are found in the garden. The rooms in Pousada Girassol are spacious, extremely clean and individually decorated. All rooms have a bright, clean, and solid built private bathroom. Each room comes with air condition, fridge, TV, and a varanda with hammock. Breakfast ist served in a fresh roomy patio area and includes specialities from Minas Gerais. Since Pousada Girassol is tightly integrated into the EasyDrop concept, so e.g. breakfast will be served very early on days with early surf sessions.

Praia da Concha does not have any surf, for the beach is protected by the pier of Itacaré's lighthouse. However, when the South swell starts pumping (most commonly from May to September), Praia da Concha becomes the general departure point for surfing sessions at Boca da Barra and Praia do Pontal, two of the most legendary peaks in the region which can be overviewed from Pousada Girassol! |
